Quran is the best supporter against falsehood and against every attempt to misrepresent well-established Islamic beliefs and we turn towards the Quran to quash arguments of the skeptics against building mosques/structures over graves. فَقَالُوا ابْنُوا عَلَيْهِم بُنْيَانًا ۖرَّبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ ۚ قَالَ الَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا عَلَىٰ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًا And they said: Construct upon them a building . The second group said – Let us build a mosque on their graves (in the cave) (and thus seek blessings through this act). Surah Kahf (18): Verse 21 Deliberating on the incident of the Companions of the Cave ( As’haab-e-Kahf ), one can only conclude that building mosques over the graves was always a recommended act in divinely revealed religions, more so since the Noble Quran has related the incident sans criticism and reliable Sunni exegeses (tafaaseer) have concluded as much. Munajaat Imam Ali as

Munajaat Imam Ali as O Allah, I ask You for protection on the day when property will not avail, nor sons except he who comes with a heart free (from evil) (26: 88) allaahumma innee as-alukal amaana yawma laa yanfa-u� maalun wa laa banoonun illaa man atallaaha biqalbin saleem اَللّـهُمَّ إِنّي أَسْ أ َلُكَ الأَمَانَ يَوْمَ لا يَنْفَعُ مالٌ  وَلابَنُونَ إِلاّ مَنْ أَتَىٰ اللهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَليمٍ، And I ask You for protection on the day when the unjust one will bite his hands saying: O would that I had taken a way with the messenger (25; 27) wa as-alukal amaana yawma ya-a�z�z�uz� z�aalimu a�laa yadayhi ya qoolu yaa laytanittakhad�tu ma-a�rrasooli sabeelaa وَأَسْاَلُكَ الأَمانَ يَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظّالِمُ عَلىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يا لَيْتِني اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبيلاً And I ask You for protection on the day when the guilty shall be recogn...
